DOG TRAINING FOR BEGINNERS
The beginner foundation course is a 6 week course.
This is for dogs over 6 months old at the start of training.
Training is based on a series of successive exercises which will teach your dog how to learn, and build positive habits in the dog and handler.
The beginners course will build on any previous learning and introduce new learning to dogs who are training for the first time. So the course will build on the dog being comfortable with being handled and groomed, and socialise the dog with a variety of other dogs and situations. We will continue to build on the watch exercises which teaches the dog its name and focuses the dog's attention on to the handler.
Basic positions will be taught and practised- sit, down and loose lead heelwork will be started.
You will receive a training booklet to take home to help you keep up the learning and progress between classes.
An attendance certificate and rosette will be presented to those completing the beginner course.
The beginner course leads gives successful owners and dogs the opportunity to progress to the Bronze Aptitude courses.
